Pennsylvania Abandoned Mine Drainage Abatement and Treatment Program (Marcellus Legacy Fund)

Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Legacy Fund supports the Abandoned Mine Drainage Abatement and Treatment Program (AMDATP), administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The program targets abandoned mine drainage (AMD) to reduce pollution impacting thousands of miles of streams across the state. Funding is intended for projects that abate and treat AMD to improve water quality.
