Crane Creek Lacustuary Wetland Restoration at Ottawa NWR: $1.5M for planning and implementation

Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is funding restoration of about 55 acres of wetlands in the Crane Creek lacustuary to improve fish and benthic habitat and Lake Erie water quality. Up to $1.5 million covers assessments, engineering and design, permits, construction, plantings, and invasive species control. Long-term maintenance will be handled by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
