PA SMCRA Bond-Forfeiture Grants for ABS Legacy Site Reclamation
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection awards Growing Greener/SMCRA bond-forfeiture grants to municipalities, municipal authorities, and eligible incorporated nonprofits to reclaim and remediate abandoned surface‑mining sites. Funding is provided from the SMCRA Fund under Section 18(j) and is limited to sites that meet the “ABS Legacy Sites” definition in 25 Pa. Code §86.1.
