Rapid Ore Characterization (ROCKS) — faster sensing for rare-earth and critical-mineral deposits

ARPA-E is soliciting proposals to develop sensing and analysis tools that can evaluate rare-earth element and critical-mineral ore deposits in months instead of years, enabling rapid, lower-cost feasibility assessments. The program targets transformative technologies that improve characterization accuracy, reduce waste, and accelerate domestic mining and processing supply chains.
