CEDAR: Research on Coupling, Energetics, and Dynamics of Earth’s Upper Atmosphere
The CEDAR program funds research to better understand how atmospheric regions behave from the middle atmosphere to the thermosphere, ionosphere, and exosphere. Projects may study how lower-atmosphere changes and inputs from the Sun and particles affect upper-atmosphere processes, using observations, theory, and modeling. AI/ML methods and open data or open science practices are encouraged.
