Security Assessment and Defense for Encrypted Messaging Apps (ASEMA)

DARPA is soliciting research to model and defend encrypted messaging applications by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in the app code that interacts with networks and mobile operating systems. The program focuses on systematic risk modeling and practical defensive measures to reduce the large, remotely reachable attack surface that advanced persistent threat (APT) groups exploit.
