Rural Hospital Provider Assistance Program
This program offers direct financial assistance to eligible rural hospitals that have structural payment disadvantages affecting their ability to maintain health care providers. It targets hospitals with 50 or fewer acute care inpatient beds and a Medicare wage index below 0.90 to help preserve essential services and reduce avoidable closures.
