Functional Validation and/or Characterization of Genes or Variants Implicated in Substance Use Disorders (R21/R33 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This grant supports projects using genome or epigenome editing to study genes or variants linked to substance use disorder traits. The genetic tools developed should be shared widely with the scientific community to help understand related brain mechanisms and aid future efforts in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
