Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program
The FEMA SAFER Grant Program provides DHS-funded support to help fire departments strengthen their frontline staffing. Funding is available for hiring paid firefighters and for recruitment and retention efforts for volunteer firefighters. Awards are authorized under the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974.
