DARPA MARRS: Boost nuclear fusion reaction rates in solids near room temperature
DARPA requests innovative research proposals to discover and demonstrate mechanisms that significantly amplify nuclear fusion reaction rates in solid materials at or near room temperature. Projects should aim for breakthrough scientific, device, or system advances rather than incremental improvements. Research that mainly delivers evolutionary gains over current practice is excluded.
