Understanding and Improving Diagnostic Safety in Ambulatory Care: Incidence and Contributing Factors
This opportunity funds research to measure how often diagnostic errors occur in ambulatory (outpatient) settings and to identify the system, provider, and patient factors that contribute to them across diverse services and populations. Findings should inform strategies to improve diagnostic safety and reduce harm in outpatient care.
