Emergency support for human rights defenders facing imminent threats
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor offers on-demand emergency funding to individuals and organizations whose work on fundamental freedoms is putting them at imminent risk. Support is intended for short-term needs to help defenders continue activities amid threats such as attacks, arbitrary arrest, detention, or prosecution.
