USGS CESU Cooperative Agreement for eDNA detection of coconut rhinoceros beetles in Hawaii

USGS is funding a cooperative agreement with an affiliated CESU partner to collect and analyze environmental DNA samples from palm trees in Hawaii. The goal is to test how well eDNA can detect small or low-density populations of the coconut rhinoceros beetle and how detection changes with distance from pheromone lures.
