Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)

Tax credit program to encourage businesses to invest in projects which improve distressed areas.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are neighborhood organizations that hold a ruling from the Internal Revenue Service as nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations. <br /><br />Projects in this category assist with projects addressing neighborhood and community problems in lowincome or distressed areas. A project must serve low-income persons or residents of economically distressed neighborhoods. Projects must fall under one of the following categories: affordable housing, community economic development, community services, crime prevention, education, job training, neighborhood assistance, or neighborhood conservation. A tax credit of up to 55% can be awarded to contributing businesses with a one-year commitment.
