Modeling of Magnetic Properties of High Strength Steels

The grant opportunity seeks to develop models to understand and predict how high strength steels behave under stress and magnetic conditions.

Phase I involves creating and testing a concept to model the magnetic properties of these steels using simple shapes like spheres. An optional part of this phase will outline design specifications for a prototype in Phase II.
