Earth Mapping Resources Initiative (Earth MRI) Mine Waste Cooperative Agreements FY2026
USGS Earth Mapping Resources Initiative (Earth MRI) is accepting competitive proposals from state geological surveys for mine-waste inventory, characterization, sampling, and mapping projects, with optional travel funds for the 2026 Earth MRI workshop. Approximately $5 million is available for FY2026 cooperative agreements, and all awarded funds must be obligated by September 30, 2026.
