EARLY STAGE INNOVATIONS FOR IN SITU RESOURCE UTILIZATION (ESI26-ISRU)
NASA will fund early, low-TRL research on in situ resource utilization focused specifically on lunar water purification. U.S. higher-education institutions can submit proposals, but preliminary proposals are mandatory and only invited teams may submit full proposals. Awards are planned to begin in June 2027.
