Upcoming NHGRI UM1 funding to study functional impacts of genomic variants (IGVF Consortium)

NHGRI plans a 2025 NOFO for UM1 centers to systematically test how individual genomic variants affect genome function and phenotypes using high-throughput assays and robust data pipelines. Funded centers will join the IGVF Consortium to coordinate assays, variants, cell types, and shared analysis strategies. This is an advance notice; applications are not yet being accepted.
