AI and Patient Safety Research Grants: Assessing Risks and Safe Implementation

This NOFO invites grant applications to study whether and how breakthrough uses of artificial intelligence affect patient safety and to develop approaches for safe implementation in healthcare. Projects should identify risks, assess impacts on safety and user burden, and propose mitigation strategies for deployment. The goal is to harness AI’s benefits while preventing patient harm.
