Butte Creek/Sutter Bypass Weir 1 Improvement Design and Permitting Project
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking design and permitting to partially remove a deteriorated weir (Weir #1) and build a rock ramp. The work aims to maintain water levels for reliable agricultural diversion while enabling fish passage to the Sutter National Wildlife Refuge. A feasibility study is already complete, and final design and permitting are the next step.
