Automated Ice Detection and Polar Navigation Tool (PolarNav)
Develop a prototype system that fuses sea-ice data from shipboard, airborne, and spaceborne sensors plus model output to generate optimized route options for navigation through ice-infested polar waters. The tool is intended as a planning aid to help operators choose safer, more efficient transits in polar regions.
