Emergency Department Data and Drug Toxicology to Improve Drug Consumption Surveillance
This research will connect emergency-department overdose cases with biospecimen toxicology and drug supply composition. The goal is to strengthen local and national drug consumption surveillance, identify shortcomings in current drug testing, and improve data sharing between public health and public safety to support crisis response.
