Intermediate Punishment Treatment Program Initiative
The goal of the FY 2025-26 Intermediate Punishment Treatment Program remains to divert individuals from county jail or state prison and provide the necessary treatment for individuals with substance use or mental health disorders, thereby reducing recidivism and increasing public safety.

Eligibility
To remain eligible for Intermediate Punishment Treatment Program funding, a county shall comply with Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing (PCS) standards and regulations and participate in an evaluation to determine program effectiveness.
