Geophysics Program: Funding for basic research on Earth structure, hazards, and processes

The Geophysics Program funds basic research that improves understanding of the solid Earth, including its composition, structure, and dynamics. Supported work spans laboratory, field, theoretical, and computational studies of seismic activity, geophysical hazards, magnetic and gravity fields, thermal structure, geodesy, and the properties of Earth materials.
