Upcoming NIH R01: mechanisms of skin injury from chemical threats (no clinical trials)

NIAMS and NIAID plan a future R01 funding opportunity for basic research on how high-consequence toxic chemicals cause skin injury. Projects must study molecular and cellular mechanisms across at least two chemicals from different toxidromes to reveal shared therapeutic targets and enable broad-spectrum countermeasures.
