Basic research on how chemical threats injure skin (R01; clinical trials not allowed)

This NOFO solicits basic research to study the underlying disease mechanisms of skin injuries caused by government-identified toxic chemicals of concern. The goal is to enable discovery and early development of broad-spectrum medical countermeasures to improve preparedness and response to chemical emergencies. Applications must not be clinical trials.
