Changelog

What is new in Scout. Monthly updates to grant search, proposal writing, collaboration, and security.

2026

September 2026

New features

  • Google Docs, SharePoint, and Word

Bring source material in from the tools you already use. Import from Google Docs and SharePoint, and draft with Scout inside Microsoft Word.

  • Proposal resubmissions

Start a structured resubmission from a prior proposal so you can reuse what worked and focus on reviewer feedback.

  • Chat across the product

Scout chat is available throughout a project. Attach files, keep chats with your project materials, and remove conversations from history or context when you are done.

  • Review past proposals and auto-run drafts

Pull prior proposals into review, then automatically generate a draft and section review with a feedback drawer so next steps are visible without extra setup.

  • Figures from uploaded materials

Scout extracts relevant figures from the files you upload so they are easier to reuse while writing.

  • Clearer collaboration and matching

Project viewers stay read-only, eligibility checks between a project and an opportunity are more precise, and recommended grants sort by alignment first.

  • Proposal list bulk actions

Select multiple proposals to delete or export in one pass, and see when each proposal and project was created.

New features

  • Home page and Help Center

A redesigned home page and in-product Help Center make it faster to find what to do next and how to use Scout.

  • Voice dictation

Speak instead of type when describing a project or chatting with Scout. Dictation is available in helper chat and project description fields.

  • Federal opportunity questionnaires

Answer a guided questionnaire for federal opportunities so Scout can tailor the application package and next steps.

  • Application packages and agency context

New applications can generate an application package automatically. Opportunity cards now show agency logos and application counts.

  • Download your files

Download the content of files you have uploaded so you can work with them outside Scout.

  • Signup and onboarding

A refreshed signup flow and onboarding polish get new teams into a project with fewer steps.

  • Start a new application

A dedicated start-application flow takes you from an opportunity to a template and first draft with clearer file and context readiness.
